Nagito was surprisingly passive for a guy who used to tease Hajime relentlessly. The teasing hadn’t stopped, but when Hajime replied with affirmation and affection instead of how he used to would, Nagito crumbled. He’d attempted to maintain his usual composed smile and laugh, but blush on his face betrayed him, and sometimes, he couldn’t even hold Hajime’s gaze.
Nagito had never initiate intimacy either. Hajime didn’t mind taking it slow, but when he kissed or embraced him, Nagito looked uneasy and tense afterwards as if he were bracing for something bad to follow. It pained him seeing Nagito like that.
April 28, 2016 Their relationship progressed slowly (mostly because they were busy) and they finally went on their first date a month and half later, on Nagito’s birthday. They took a day off to spend the day together before Nagito left on his first long mission tomorrow.
Hajime could tell that the mission was weighing on his mind. Nagito was used to being alone, stranded wherever his luck took him, but now he was… scared. Knowing his luck, this would be the time his plane crashed, or his room caught fire. It had been fine countless times before, but again, knowing his luck, this also would be the time he wouldn’t survive, just after he had finally found some kind of happiness. Hajime tried to assure him that everything would be fine. It had been so far, ever since they’d been together.
Hajime sat beside Nagito and took out a decorated bag. Inside was a pair of gloves and a beanie, a box of treats, and Hajime’s old, high school pin.
His previous high school before he transferred to Reserve Course was one of the academically notable school. The pin was something that he was proud to wear, a symbol of his accomplishment and hard work. Because of the survivor protection program, everything about Hajime’s past had been discarded, his identity, his belongings… but the pin. As for Nagito, the pin was an object that reminded him Hajime the most.
:nagito: Hinata-kun, is this…
:hajime: It’s just- something to remind you of me. Or remind you to be careful. Or to keep you safe, Or…
:hajime: Just- just keep it, okay?
Even though they both knew it was nothing more than a placebo, Nagito looked genuinely happy. For the first time, Nagito pulled Hajime into a kiss, deep and electrifying.
The next morning, Hajime met with Nagito before he departed for the mission. Nagito immediately pulled Hajime for another deep kiss upon seeing him. Pulling back, he beamed and greeted the disoriented Hajime.
:nagito: Good morning, Hinata-kun.
Nagito wore the pin on his left chest, over his heart.
After his first mission, Nagito was assigned to a team with the Impostor, and the two were often sent on missions overseas together. Nagito called Hajime frequently during his travels, almost excessively.
Nagito’s affection for Hajime had also intensified. He became more openly affectionate, initiating intimacy often, and far more dominant. Hajime’s heart raced to see Nagito bloom like this. At the same time, the changes in Nagito also made him nervous about what was to come. He was having a hard time to control himself, and Nagito kept destroying his self restraint.
His luck also hadn’t turned for the worse so far. Everything remained peaceful.

July 6, 2016 Just three and a half months after they started dating, Nagito sent Hajime his nudes which put Hajime’s mind in chaos. Separated into 2 parts, Nagito’s Nudes and Komahina’s Getaway.

During their first time together, Hajime moaned Nagito’s name by his first name in the heat of the moment. In his head, Nagito had already been Nagito even before they were together so it slipped without him realizing.
There was no pause and Nagito simply answered with “Hajime”.
From then on, they were “Hajime” and “Nagito”.
